In the face of danger
Scripture:
21 The people were silent. They didn't answer the commander at all, because King Hezekiah had ordered, "Don't answer him." ( Isaiah 36:21 )
and
14 When Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it, he went up to the Temple of the Lord. He spread the letter out before the Lord 15 and prayed to the Lord: ( Isaiah 37:14-15 )
Observation:
Hezekiah knew that by responding to the threats of the enemy he would be giving them power over his kingdom. So he had ordered that nobody should respond to them. Then he took the enemies threats and insults of God to God in prayer. Needless to say, God took care of the enemy and Hezekiah's people were safe.
Application:
When the enemy comes at us with a threat, no matter if it is satan in person, or disquised as the guy next door, have no fear, give it to God in prayer.
Prayer:
Praise you Father for delivering us from the hands of our enemies in Jesus mighty name! AMEN!!
