Setting the mood Empty Setting the mood

When you go to a movie, notice that the music in the background does more than just support the picture, it helps set the mood and draw you into the movie. The music helps you to get involved in the movie. Who can forget the slow threatning sound of the shark in Jaws? Or the majestic march of Star Wars?

Music plays a huge role in helping to set the mood for an event. As worship leaders, we need to keep this in mind at all times and plan our selections to support and boost the message that we will be getting that day from the Pastor.

Sometimes we might have something like a Prayer and Healing service where there is no regular message or teaching. This kind of service counts on the music to help people come into a mood where they want to be with God. It also helps make them more receptive to His power in their lives.

What are some ways you can use music to enhance an event?
