Sweet As Honey

9 So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. And he said to me, "Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." 10 I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. 11 And they said to me, "You must prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and kings." ~Revelation 10:9-11~ (NASB)

This Scripture reminds me of how we take in God's Word ("The Little Book")....We either enjoy it's sweetness (like honey), or we don't like hearing the truth, instead of conviction there's condemnation (of the flesh)...Then it becomes sour or bitter to our souls. As we mature in our Christian Faith, we learn to accept God's Truth and reject the two cents of our flesh (dying to self...daily). And now, we must share God's Truth with many others....Again and again! And we may come across bitterness and sweetness of each other's hearts, but we need to hang in there and help each other grow, and continue to encourage one another in the Lord...

Personally, I rather have the taste of Sweetness in my mouth, over the bitterness in my stomach! But if I don't swallow what I chew, then God's Word will never take root in my heart! This is a process I have to endure in my Spiritual Growth to become a better Me....More like, a more like Jesus Me. And no matter how uncomfortable this may be at times, may I always be more and more accepting of God's Truth and corrections, so that I may know the difference from Satan's lies!

Dear Lord, may Your Word and Truth always be like Honey that sticks to our hearts and sugar coats our stomachs! Show us where there may be any bitterness in our hearts and lives, so that we may overcome them with the Power and Strength of YOUR WORD AND TRUTH! May we share this Sweetness with others, and crave for more and more of You Lord....In JESUS' Mighty Name! AMEN AND AMEN!
