1Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you. 2Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; 3for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,

“Then David said to Gad, "I am in great distress. Let us now fall into the hand of the LORD for His mercies are great, but do not let me fall into the hand of man."”

O

Even GOD’S correction King David trusted in, not man’s. For the LORD’S Mercies are Great….The LORD has compassion on HIS Children and wants to see them succeed and live well. Whereas in man, it’s a “dog eat dog” world.

Observation:

I like the CEV [Contemporary English Version] because it is easy to read, but this passage seems to take on a bit of a different meaning in this version than it does in most. Here it looks like they have finally made God mad and now He is going to come down and smite them a Godly smiting. In this particular translation, it came out this way, but in different places in the bible, ...

18 When David had fled and made his escape, he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. Then he and Samuel went to Naioth and stayed there.

24 He stripped off his robes and also prophesied in Samuel's presence. He lay that way all that day and night. This is why people say, "Is Saul also among the prophets?"

Scripture:

I came down from heaven to do what God wants me to do, not what I want to do. [John 6:38]

Observation:

Wow. What a statement. Jesus Himself said that He did not come to do what he wants to do but what God wants Him to do. If even Jesus subborned His desires to the Father, then that speaks loudly to me that I need to do the same.

Application:

This is a hard one. Again I have to die to self and forget about what I want from life. I have to think about what it is ...

Scripture:

"Jesus Christ is the SAME Yesterday and Today and Forever." ~Hebrews 13:8~ (NASB)

Observation:

Jesus never changes~We shouldn't too! Except that Jesus had Great Faith, so we should follow toward having Greater Faith~And to love and walk in Righteousness, and to hate and reject or rebuke inquity! Consistency in our Spiritual Growth and sharing all that is Good with others allows God to work through us yesterday, today, and forever!

Application:

S

"let us DRAW NEAR with a sincere heart in full assurance of Faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water." ~Hebrews 10:22~ (NASB)

O

Jesus sacrificed Himself for us, reconciled us with our Heavenly Father, by sprinkling us clean with His blood inside and out! We can now draw near to God, thanks to our Lord & Savior...To keep at a distance from God would be a slap in the face with ungratefulness to all that the Lord ...

Scripture

"So God has given His promise and His oath." ~Hebrews 6:18~ (NLT)

Observation

God made promises to us, and He guarantees to keep them. Do I make promises and keep them? Like when I say, I'm going to Journal every day...Do I keep this promise?

Application

God keeps His promises, so I have to keep mine too. I have to learn how to keep my promises, or God will not hear my prayers. I don't want to be a liar!

Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank You for Your Love! ...

Scripture:

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. [Hebrews 13:8 NCV]

Observation:

I see people that say, "The world is different now, so we have to look at the Bible differently" Or, "The Bible can not be applied the same way because everything has changed." They use this as an excuse to do the things they want to do and not feel guilty about it. They think they can bargin or barter their way into heaven. They have changed what is right to fit what ...

Scripture:

"so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him." ( Hebrews 9:28 NASB )

Observation:

As I was reading this the words 'will appear a second time for salvation' jumped out at me. Hey, wait a second. I thought I was already saved, and is'nt that what salvation is? Ok. Gotta look up salvation.

This word is used of the deliverance of the Israelites ...

Scripture:

1 The Lord spoke this word to Jeremiah during the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was king of Judah: 2 "Get a scroll. Write on it all the words I have spoken to you about Israel and Judah and all the nations. Write everything from when I first spoke to you, when Josiah was king, until now. 3 Maybe the family of Judah will hear what disasters I am planning to bring on them and will stop doing wicked things. Then I would forgive them for the sins and the evil things ...
